  • Engineering Designs Being Completed
  • A Bid Package in Preparation
June Start – March 99 Completion As need Temporary heat will be provided by contractor(s)
6 Emergency Generators July Start – October Completion Emergency Generators will not hinder School Operations. These new generators will serve as back up power to meet Fire Code Requirements
3 Chillers
  • Designs to be completed in May by A/E Firm & Reviewed by the Army Corp.
July Start – January 99 Completion These chillers are not essential for this Summer Operations and school activities
11 Window Projects
  • 2 A/E Designs being completed by Corp.
  • 9 Window Projects in Procurement with Army Corp.
July Start – January 99 Completion

  • For contracts greater than 1 million, District of Columbia's external review requirements may add six weeks to award process.
  • DCPS legal sufficiency review/tax compliance/EEO compliance/DUNS numbers assignments — 1 week
  • City Council review — 2 weeks
  • Control Board review — 2 weeks
  • FMS obligation/D.C. Controller's Office override — 1 week
